Like many other successful
companies, Espotel,
too, was originally
founded in small, modest
facilities with only
one full-time employee.
Gradually the word
spread about the new
company and all of
its shareholders were
able to quit their
paid work and become
full-time entrepreneurs.
Espotel began to grow
when the period of
economic recession
ended in 1994, at which
point it moved to new
modern premises in
Olarinluoma, Espoo.
Major resources were
also assigned to quality,
and the ISO9001 quality
system was already
certified in 1997.
Espotel’s growth
also imposed development
needs on the organisation,
and marketing investments
also had to be increased.
An office was set up
in Kuopio in 1998,
which was received
favourably at the very
beginning.
The new millennium began
with huge growth so staff issues had to be reconsidered thoroughly.
As the number of staff increased, the Espoo office moved to larger
premises in Niittykumpu and the Kuopio office to new Microteknia.
Now, in 2010, Espotel
has approximately 220
full-time employees in
Espoo, Kuopio, Oulu, Jyväskylä, Tampere
and Vaasa. Despite fast growth, Espotel has maintained a good profitability,
which has enabled it to invest in new technologies, staff training
and product development. We develop hi-tech products to leading
companies in Finland and abroad. Espotel has become a leader in
embedded systems product development in Finland.
